Amalfi Adventures: Part 1

Our summer began with a family trip to the southern coast of Italy, a favorite spot of ours for some time now. But a week on a boat as a family was a first this time. Sailing for a week in close quarters with five people had its risks – seasickness, weather issues, simply needing space – but ended up being one of our favorite travel experiences to date. We were in Positano/Capri/Amalfi for a total of two weeks and saw more friends from 78990 Élancourt than one might believe. Wine and pizza and gelato abounded and we played at least a thousand hands of cards. Here a diary in photos is part one of our Amalfi Adventure. ≈≈

Needless to say we LOVED the pizza.
Most evenings we had a sunset sail into our city of choice before taking the dingy into dinner
Somehow Italy makes crowds seem chic.
