Nazism in Post-War Germany
This paper discussed the rise in Nazi sentiments in Germany following World War Two. Despite the vehement rejection of Nazism in government, the roots of Nazism ran deeply within the youngest generations, leading to the establishment of neo-Nazi groups throughout Europe and North America.
Two Wordsworths: William and Dorothy
A paper involving a comprehensive comparison of the brother and sister whose writing styles are strikingly similar. William lived a long life (comparatively) and is now known as one of the monumental Romantic poets. Dorothy was afflicted with Alzheimer’s early in her life, which cut short her production of both elegant prose and poetry that was at least as talented as Williams.
The Catholic Church and Science
This work considered the Catholic Church and various reactions to scientific discoveries throughout European history. In order to better understand these reactions, the church was considered not only as a religion, but also as a corporation that sought to establish a foothold in Europe and protect itself from the potential dangers of science.
Technological Determinism and Edison
By looking at the successes and failures of both Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse Jr., this paper highlights the flaws in the currently accepted definitions of “technological determinism” and seeks a more comprehensive understanding of the concept.
